Project overview
The Challenge: SRS Acquiom is a premier B2B SaaS company specializing in managing complex mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and syndicated loan agency transactions. Their suite of tools, including virtual data rooms, deal dashboards, and loan agency dashboards, supports financial institutions, law firms, private equity, and corporations worldwide.
Despite handling over 10,200 deals worth more than $1.7 trillion and representing 580,000+ shareholders globally, SRS Acquiom’s digital tools were fragmented across multiple products and brands. This resulted in inconsistent user experiences, inefficient workflows, and siloed information that complicated deal management for both internal teams and external customers.
The goal was to create a unified, consistent, and scalable user experience across their product ecosystem that enhanced usability, optimized workflows, and reinforced brand trust.
My Role: Design Lead, Creative Director, and Executive Sponsor
My Responsibilities: Led UX strategy, product design, and creative direction across multiple fintech platforms, conducted extensive user research and testing, developed scalable design systems, collaborated cross-functionally with stakeholders and engineering, and guided iterative delivery to align business and user goals.
Services & Activities: Research & Strategy, Product Design, Design System Development, Information Architecture, Content Strategy, Usability Testing, Design QA & Development Consulting

Research & Competitive Insights
We began with a thorough audit of existing products and interfaces, mapping out workflows for multiple user types including loan agents, deal managers, and shareholders. Through interviews and usability testing with internal teams and external clients, we identified key pain points such as inconsistent navigation, confusing information architecture, and duplicated functionalities across dashboards.
We leveraged AI-assisted analysis of user feedback to synthesize core themes, uncover motivations, and prioritize areas for improvement.
Key Questions
We aimed to unify the user experience across multiple tools and brands while preserving existing workflows, ensuring a smooth transition for users. Central to this was defining an information architecture that could support complex, multi-stage financial transactions with clarity and efficiency. Additionally, we sought ways to streamline access to critical data and documents, minimizing friction and reducing the risk of errors throughout the process.

Findings
Our research revealed that users struggled with inconsistent interfaces that disrupted their workflows and caused confusion. The existing information architecture was fragmented, making it difficult to track multi-step processes effectively. Accessing vital documents and data was often cumbersome, leading to delays and increased error rates. These insights guided us to prioritize consistency, clarity, and ease of access in our redesign.
